Uber launched the first ever membership program, Uber One, the ultimate way save across Uber and Uber Eats with member pricing, rides from top-rated drivers, and exclusive perks. And they need a scaleable design system that met global and needs as well as translated well across all of Uber’s lines of business.
The first problem I sought to solve with the membership, was the logo mark. After copious sketches, vector exploration, and legal checks, the team decided on a mark that was created from the abstractions of the O and U in Uber One and the number 1 and represents effortlessness, unity, and ease. I then worked with my very talented team to build out the design system and apply it product and touch points. Lastly, we launch the membership within the Uber and Uber Eats apps.
